Our Priest, who has been a practicing Wiccan for over 20 years, came to Wicca by a somewhat roundabout path.
Raised as a Methodist, his grandfather was a minister, his parents said they sometimes worried that he would grow up to be a minister himself. Never was sure what that was all about.
He finished high school in a Baptist supported military academy.
By the late 60’s, early 70’s he considered himself an athiest.
About 20 years later he and a co-worker were exploring something (they were never sure exactly what it was or what to call it) that involved meditation, Chakras, astral projection, and so on. This gradually evolved into something that, with hindsight, vaguely resembled Wicca.
Then two things happened. First, he sucessfully visited his co-worker’s home while physically still at his home. Thereby proving to him that there was indeed something other than a purely physical existence.
Second, he discovered Scott Cunningham’s book Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner. Things fell into place.
The years of study, contemplation of, and meditation about what he learned resulted in the tradition being outlined on this website.
Now, having established the Hornets Nest Universal Life Church, he cordially welcomes all to attend our services, whether Wiccan or not, whether Pagan or not.
